My friend and frequent *hevruta, Rhonda, has been teaching herself a bit of ukelele. In our circles, pretty much everyone plays an instrument. Many of you know that we have alot of instruments, and I used to be good at some of them, while Kenny is virtuosic at some and can get by on many others.
We have 2 ukeleles, one "real" wooden one, and one toy plastic one (used for Hawaii-themed parties, etc.).
Of course, the real one doesn't fit in the case......
Since I have finally entered the world of smart phones (DROID), I have 2 uke apps on the DROID.
My plan is to learn 3 chords before we get to California. Kenny says that for most Jewish music, you only need 3 chords....
Other things to do in the car: review High Holiday **nusach, courtesy of Cantor Jack Kessler's CDs. Jack says that I should use headphones, since Kenny will shortly get sick of it, but I don't think so. I will be compassionate and bring them along.
