In Colorado and in some other states, medical marijuana is legal. In Boulder, there is a dispensary practically on every corner. You have to be 18 or older to get a "license" from your doctor, which allows you to purchase a rather large amount of pot each month, way more than most people need for their multitude of conditions ("over 250," according to medicalmarijuanadispensary.net). These conditions include:
• Back/Joint Pain
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Premenstrual syndrome
• Crohn's disease
• Insomnia
• Nausea
• Anorexia
• Arthritis
• Cancer
• HIV/Aids
• Gastrointestinal Diseases
• Movement Disorders
I totally believe that there are many legitimate uses for medical marijuana, and that many people are helped by it. On a proportionate basis, however, considering that Boulder is filled with such healthy, active, athletic people, it makes no sense that there is a need for so many marijuana dispensaries! Let's be real!
